9 Mind-Expanding Reasons to End Drug War

I will state that we are neither pro-drug or anti-drug. Because we exist as Objectivists …we remain neutral on whether you should or should not use drugs. That’s your choice…although we don’t recommend using them. Still, we will leave it up to you. However, we are 100% against the Drug War.

The Integrated Individual could partake in certain drugs…in order to reach accelerated states of awareness. However, he (she) takes charge of his thoughts, feelings and actions. He understands the supremacy of reason…and would never do anything to sabotage it. Drug addiction is completely out of the question.

Since conquering illusions and understanding reality is a daily quest…he makes his decisions based on cause and effect relationships. For that reason, he completely supports the legalization/decriminalization of all drugs.

Here is an excerpt from the new Kindle book Defeat the Lies of the Anti-Drug Crusader.

  1. Here’s an important question. Who owns your life? I certainly hope you take ownership of your life. A Warrior for Legalization takes charge of his body, mind and spirit. He wouldn’t allow anyone to override his sanctity as a unique individual. The Anti-Drug Crusader claims the state or society owns your life…and any freedom you experience is a gift from this “great protector” of human life. I believe the term isn’t “great protector” but “great predator.” Let’s access Natural Law to state an obvious truth. You own your life, therefore you should be able to consume any substance of your choice.

  2. We must face the sorry fact…that monstrous violator of personal liberty and freedom, the government, passed laws restricting your freedom of choice. We call supporters of these violations of your personal liberty and freedom Anti-Drug Crusaders—Soldiers of the Elite. Here are predators that completely violate Natural and Economic Law…by taking it upon themselves to tell you what you can and cannot do.

  3. Apparently, Anti-Drug Crusaders are unable to distinguish between voluntary and involuntary exchanges…or maybe they just don’t want to. It’s much easier violating your personal liberty and freedom. All drug transactions involving willing participants are voluntary exchanges. All voluntary exchanges should be legal. Government seems more “efficient’ at interfering with voluntary exchanges than protecting its citizens from involuntary exchanges (crimes).

  4. How long do we have to keep putting up with the “good of society” nonsense? The Anti-Drug Crusader claims drug prohibition is for the good of this “mysterious” entity. Well, we can estimate that more than 75,000,000 Americans use illegal drugs. Aren’t these people members of society indulging in voluntary activities? Obviously, he means for the good of the part of society…that want to force their spurious moral beliefs on others.

  5. When will people learn government interventionism on the marketplace only worsens the situation…and can never achieve the stated goals. Of course, liberty violators are oblivious to the laws of supply and demand. The only people benefiting from drug prohibition are drug lords, lawyers and politicians. The rest of us suffer restrictions on our personal liberty and freedom. In addition, we risk the possibility of becoming victims of drug violence.

Well, Look Who Benefits from the Drug War!
  6. The Anti-Drug Crusader claims cracking down on drugs lowers the incidence of crime. How ignorant can you get! Drug laws cause crime. First, prohibition turns drug users into criminals and creates an underground network known as organized crime. Do I have to mention how drug laws cause property crime to soar.

  7. Since drug laws violate Natural and Economic Law, undesirable consequences are inevitable. How does the Anti-Drug Crusader cover up the horrible effects of his liberty violating beliefs and actions? He resorts to propaganda tactics. In other word, he tells bald—faced lies. Sometimes, he’s more “honest” and just exaggerates or distorts the truth in order to force his views on others.

  8. Here’s something you might not realize. Drug laws are partly responsible for the spread of sexually transmitted diseases, including A.I.D.S. Since drug laws drive up the price of illegal drugs, female addicts often turn to prostitution…and some male addicts resort to gay prostitution to pay for their unfortunate habit. Of course, the Anti-Drug Crusader and other liberty-violators might mention something about “sins of the flesh.” The only ‘sin’ I can spot is their liberty-violating ways.

  9. The Anti-Drug Crusader cares nothing about protecting private property. In fact, when he spouts his opinion about the “good of society” he proves he’s an out and out hypocrite. If he really cared about “society”, he wouldn’t support laws that cause violent crime, increase property crime, destroy neighborhoods and ruin individual lives. He cares more about forcing his views on others than peace and harmony among men and women. He’s the emperor who wears no clothes.

Conclusion

Let’s face it. Laws restricting free trade do not work. Any attempt to enforce these laws must fail miserably. There is one fact the Anti-Drug Crusader cannot ignore…market phenomena, including drug activities are controlled by Economic Law. Every effort to stop the drug trade will only cause disastrous consequences. OK, I hope I’ve cleared up some lies concerning the drug war.
